Follow-up appointments are an important part of the PROMPPT pain management review and they will be arranged according to clinical need. Follow-up appointments can be conducted face-to-face or remotely by video or telephone, according to the need for social distancing and patient preference. Follow-up appointments are anticipated to be shorter in duration (no longer than 15 minutes) than the initial consultation.
Another aspect of reviewing patients after their initial consultation is making and allowing arrangements for contact outside of appointments. Your arrangement might be to give the patient the practice number asking them to request a call back as and when you have the opportunity depending on the urgency of the matter.
